Crowded spikes of pale purple flowers (darker in full sun) mixed with purple bracts from July through September, large fragrant (minty) leaves (up to 4.5" long) end just below the flower spikes, spreads well by seed (though not aggressively), plant this where you can touch it & enjoy the scent, excellent nectar plant, attracts butterflies, drought tolerant, nice cut flower, good rain garden plant.
