A beautiful erect clump-forming plant which produces cascading pyramids of light periwinkle-blue star-shaped flowers from March-June. Leaves are vivid green and willow-like, creating a beautiful bushy effect which becomes still more dramatic in the fall when the whole plant takes on a beautiful yellow fall color. Enjoys loamy soil, clay, acid, and moist areas; sometimes found growing on gravel bars in streams. Primarily grows in the Ozarks, good rain garden plant.
