Large, often drooping domes of fragrant, dusty rose flowers from June through August, broad leaves 4-10 inch long with downy grey-green undersides, large attractive seed pods producing seeds with silky parachutes, spreads by creeping rhizomes, average to dry soil, full sun, attracts butterflies, food plant for Monarch & Queen Butterfly caterpillars (Danaus plexippus & D. gilippus).
