Whorls of tiny yellow flowers in May and June are followed by yellow/green seed capsules cradled by reddish bracts, red-tinged leaves up to 1/2 inch wide and 12 inch long are fringed in long white hairs, a charming tufting ground cover, spreads by seed and short rhizomes. Clay, gravel, and acid tolerant.
