Small bright yellow flowers born on branching stems have short petals framing yellow anthers around a green center from May to June, basal leaves are kidney shaped with lightly scalloped edges whereas upper leaves are deeply divided & sometimes simply long & narrow, great spring nectar & pollen source for beneficial insects & native bees, likes rich loamy soil. A weak perennial so allow it to seed in.
