Very fragrant 2-3 inch bright pink flowers in June and July, sturdy stems with red tipped thorns, large (1/2 inch) red rose hips in fall provide food for blue birds and many other birds and animals, disease resistant, red fall foliage is beautiful, attracts butterflies and honey bees, clay tolerant, provides nesting sites for birds.
