Our showiest native Raspberry is thornless (!) with large (2 inch) deep purple flowers from May through August which are followed by dome-shaped delicious raspberries, flowers are a major nectar source for Butterflies & Bees (including honey bees), fuzzy leaves are large (up to 1 foot) & maple-shaped, papery exfoliating bark on older canes interesting - even in winter, colony forming by stolons, fruits attract birds & other wildlife.
