Bold yellow pyramidal plumes from late August through November, narrow leaves with parallel veins, spreads by rhizomes and seed, colony forming, easy to grow, tolerant of sand and clay (even caliche!), terrific source of pollen and nectar for pollinators, butterflies, and beneficial insects.
