Large branching heads of tiny yellow flowers from August to October, toothed narrow 3-nerved leaves are up to 6 inch long near the base but smaller towards the flowering head, stems are hairless at the base but can be quite hairy on the upper half or more, attracts pollinators of all sorts including butterflies and bees, spreads by rhizomes to form colonies, great for meadow plantings, clay and salt tolerant.
