Large sprays of tiny yellow flowers from late July through November, rough leaves up to 5 inch long with jagged edges, spreads easily by rhizomes forming large colonies, common in eastern grassy meadows, holds onto darkened leaves after frost, attracts butterflies.
Native Range: Newfoundland to ON, south to TX & FL
Germination - Easy: Cold Stratify 8 weeks. Surface sow or cover seed lightly.
