This beautiful woodland plants sports 1/4 inch male & female flowers on different plants from April to May - male flowers are drooping clusters of yellow stamens while the female flowers are graceful delicate purple tassels, lovely blue-green foliage comes up very early in the spring & is divided into many lobed segments reminiscent of columbine, spreads by seed, attracts butterflies, good rain garden plant.
