A beautiful colony forming fern with light green long-petioled fronds in the spring, produces a second flush of growth in late June with the unfurling of the slightly taller spore bearing (fertile) fronds, a vigorous spreader by creeping rhizomes - so make sure to give it a little room, clay & salt tolerant.
