Showy delicate racemes of small white star-shaped flowers from April through May - massed they look like um... foam!, maple-like 3" downy leaves form mounds of attractive ground covering foliage that varies from green to bronze and burgundy depending on sun and season, rich soil, flowers attract bees, butterflies, and other pollinators.

Native Range: though this species taken as a whole ranges up to MN, sw. QC, & NH, var. collina's range extends from MD south through KY & NC to MS & GA. Rare in NJ & WI
