An adorable purple violet with unusual arrowhead-shaped leaves. Produces abundant flowers intermittently from April through June, in turn creating seed capsules which can shoot seeds up to two feet away. Tolerant of clay and sand, and prefers occasional disturbance to reduce competition. Host to fritillary butterfly caterpillars.
