Eye-catching 2 inch clusters of bright yellowflowers from April through June, the simple heart-shaped 3 inch basal leaves and 3-5 part stem leaves are glossy and very attractive, easy to grow, flowers attract native bees, a food plant for Black Swallowtail (Papilio polyxenes) and Ozark Swallowtail (Papilio joanae) Butterfly caterpillars.
